Acclaimed actress and Buffalo native Roslyn Ruff will discuss succeeding in the entertainment industry and professional resilience, Monday, April 13, from 5:30 to 6:30 p.m. in the Savage Theater and Communication Building’s Flexible Theatre. Her talk is free and open to the public.

Ruff starred on Broadway in Fences and on off-Broadway in Love, Loss and What I Wore and The Piano Lesson, and Scenes from a Marriage, as well as earned film and television credits for The Help, The Big C, and A Gifted Man.

Ruff will also conduct a master class at 4:00 p.m. with students in the theater, arts and letters, and television and film arts programs, thanks to a grant from the Faculty-Student Association (FSA).

“Roslyn has had an exciting career on and off Broadway, film, and television, said Aaron Moss, assistant professor of theater. "Her rise to a successful career in acting has not been a linear, easy sprint, but rather a resilient marathon. I think her unique experiences and the journey of her career will be very insightful to our students eager to make a mark in their future careers.”
